1/6/26 Update:

Paintball Retro has all three of the Thin frame colors in stock now. However, I am still waiting on QLS Foam from JT so I can ship the rest of the Thin frames. If you don't want the extra foam and want your frame shipped now, scroll down to the bottom. I expected to ship weeks ago but the foam has been stuck in customs since 12/23/25.

Paintball Retro started the Thins project literally 5 years ago. Even when I worked there, JT simply didn't want to make Thin frames. I finally offered to pay for the mold myself and had to do some extensive testing on old frames to make absolutely sure the thinner design would still be just as safe.

I designed these new Thin frames with slits so they could accept a removable chinstrap. This allows players to swap out chinstraps in a minute to upgrade to magnetic, change the color, or add one if you don't have one attached to your lowers anymore.

Most will come with new removable QLS foam. Some might come with G1 foam. You can even request that these not ship with replacement foam at all. Scroll down.

The bulk of the shipment is not yet in, so I can’t promise when they will ship. I obviously have to wait for JT to deliver before I can ship. I HOPE they will be done shipping by the end of December, but I don't have complete control of it.

We recommend deciding for yourself if your foam was attached well enough to use before peeling off the old foam and installing the QLS foam. I personally have been using a frame with the original foam and it is staying strong, but Boston has reported some top foam not lasting for a single outing. The bottom foam has been staying in place for everyone.

Before installing QLS foam, you have to clean the glue off the frame and especially out of the holes the QLS trees install through.

Why are we waiting on foam?

We have seen some reports of this foam coming loose from the frames or separating from itself. JT felt this foam wasn't up to their standards so they are upgrading everyone to QLS removable foam.

What new JT Thin frames are out there?

Some lucky people stood in line and got theirs at the DV8 or Committed booths at World Cup. Then a few more people received Clear Thins because I received Clear frames first and had a small amount of G1 foam to add. This weekend some of the people who ordered early have been sent their Black frames.
