This is a recreation of the highly sought-after Rich Telford XSV Captain's jersey. It is a perfect jersey to collect or even play in. Even players lucky enough to own an original can pick one up so they can not harm their original jerseys since they now easily sell for over $1000.
These are in stock and shipping but I only have a few.
Rich was easily one of the funniest yet still most intimidating players on the team. He is known for his sarcasm, wit, and blinding speed to this day. He's currently a presenter on Go Sports and one of the foremost experts on tournament paintball.
XSV was formed in the off-season before the start of the 2004 season, and became both a powerhouse PSP and NPPL team - winning events in both leagues and becoming immortalized in the amazing documentary "Heroes for a Day."
Their golden bear jersey also became similarly iconic. The jersey prominently featured the bear from the California state flag. Micah McGlocklin perhaps put it best:
"When designing this jersey I wanted to highlight our home state of California, represented by the California State flag’s bear. The gold fade proudly identifies our origins in Northern California, where gold was discovered, spurring a thriving region. The nautical stars illustrated the team’s future rested upon the success or failures we would find traveling and playing events. The pirate ship was a visual protest, I intended to call the team Mutiny, after our revolt and reorganization. The treasure troll was meant to be a playful symbol, a reminder to not always take things seriously.
The times therein were amazing and challenging, glorious and terrible, with unimaginable and unexpected stress, and I wouldn’t change a thing."
XSV had an amazing run winning an NPPL series title and multiple PSP events before ultimately breaking up. Their story lives on through jerseys, stories, pictures and video.
Their iconic design makes them still one of the most sought-after collectible jerseys in paintball today. These jerseys allow you to have a legendary jersey that you can either hang up or use on the field without risking a piece of history.
When I created the ICON Series, I hoped to make an XSV jersey someday, but this one is better than I ever hoped. It is a true JT jersey
